Jeanne Cordova: Butches, Lies & Feminism
An interviewee for L.A. A Queer History, this short film highlights some of Jeanne Cordova’s work as an activist, author and legendary butch Lesbian feminist.
Beginning in 1970 when she became the president of the Daughters of Bilitus’ Los Angeles chapter, Jeanne went on to create: the periodical the Lesbian Tide, spearhead the two first West Coast Women’s Conferences, and started the Gay Community Yellow Pages, to name a few. JEANNE made it’s festival debut at Outfest 2017 and continues to travel the festival circuit.
